I’m planning for my next trip this summer. I’m nervous to go to Europe because it get’s so incredibly busy. I didn’t deal with any of that on my last trip. I was able to plan my trip 3 days ahead (if I was lucky). Often I planned it that day. I won’t be able to do that in the summer, all the rooms and trains will be booked up. I’ll actually have to make reservations on trains which will be an annoying ten euros. Will I have to book hostels rooms a week in advance, two? If you have backpacked in Europe during the summer, please message me and let me know! I don’t even want to think how hard it will be to get on the Eurostar from Paris to London. That fucked us over huge in fall. And it will be more expensive, when I was paying ten euros a night for a bed in a hostel I will be paying thirty. GAH. Unfortunately, school makes it so I have to travel during the summer now. But regardless of the extreme cons of traveling during summer, it’s worth it because well, you’re still fucking traveling. You’re still seeing the world. You are doing what people say they wanted to do all their life but didn’t have the balls or motivation to make it happen. Trust me, when I got back all I got was excuses as to why they hadn’t traveled. As if my backpacking offending them. (You know similar to being a vegetarian and many meat eaters have to justify why they are meat eaters. I didn’t ask or care why you eat meat. You just brought it up. I’m going off on a tangent.)
I intended this trip to be a solo one. It would have been so exciting. But my friend from Jersey wants to go with me. So that’ll be fun. And if she perchance backs out for some reason I won’t mind because it’ll be easy to go solo especially in the summer. Ohh Pro for traveling in the summer! I was thinking of a Scandanvia trip but fuck are they expensive. In the summer, the high rated hostel go up to 50-60 Euros a night! Whhhatttt? So, now the plan is fly into Iceland, then Finland, then St Petersburg. Perhaps go to Moscow. Well, it’s all on the picture. I’m doing a lot of the places I didn’t get to go to last time. And I’m revisiting London and Paris because they are fucking amazing. And Amsterdam because it’d be fun and on the way. And Stephanie can’t go on a Eurotrip without visiting Amsterdam. I’d like to visit Prague again because I loved it so much but that probably wont be possible. Oh, I’m also hoping to go to Morocco. Another country in Africa under my belt, that’d be amazing.
And now that the travel bug is in me I want to add more non European countries( aside from Morocco, that’s an easy travel). I want to go to Asia again.
So, it’s planning time again. Deciding when in summer to go, when works best with my school schedule and when I want to quit my job. This will be much easier to plan already backpacking and knowing how shit works.
The places I decide to go will change again, I’m sure. It might even change when I’m there like last time. But for now, this is ideal. The only places I won’t budge on are Iceland, St. Peterburg, Warsaw, Paris and London.
